Course A or Course B?

The Department of Intelligent Systems Engineering provides Course A and Course B In Course A, classes are given in the daytime. In Course B, classes are given at night to offer opportunities of advanced study for students who have various social backgrounds including working students and full-time workers. Students in Course B can be given economical support with an admission fee and tuition fees.

For Course A students, classes in the first grade are given at the Mito campus (not at Hitachi campus which has the Department of Engineering) .

For Course B students, classes are given at the Hitachi campus from the first grade. The curricula of course B are basically the same as Course A. You are able to acquire the necessary number of credits to graduate in four years. Most lectures are given at night (1st period 17:35~19:05, 2nd period 19:10~20:40) except for part of the graduation research, experiments, and exercises. It is possible for students who want to study more, to take Course A of the Department of Intelligent Systems Engineering and other departments' major subjects. In addition, when students are promoted to the third grade, a ‘changing course examination’ is offered to switch to the other course in the department.
